A brief description about Gathercole & Ward Opticians

Gathercole & Ward Optometrists is an independent practice, with shops at Huntingdon, Ramsay and St. Ives.

We have been providing high quality eye-care for over 50 years.

As independent opticians we are committed to providing you with a friendly and personal service as well as the highest standards of eye care.

Examinations for contact lenses (fittings or aftercare) are carried out separately from a full eye examination. In order to be able to supply contact lenses, a contact lens aftercarew must be carried out at least once a year. This is to ensure that your eyes are healthy and that there are no complications arising from the wear of conatc lenses.

Consultations are arranged by appointment however, urgent cases will be seen on the same day whereever possible. Please come in wearing your contact lenses for at least two hours before your appointment unless you are experiencing problems.

If you cannot keep your appointment please let us know and we will be happy to re-arrange your appointment.
